Matthew Lawlor

Matthew Lawlor is a partner with Lerner Piermont Riverol & Lawlor, who joined the firm in 2020. He is a graduate of Rutgers Law School (J.D. 2019) and obtained two undergraduate degrees from the University of Maryland in 2016 (B.S. Marketing, B.A. Psychology). Matthew is active in Hudson County, a member of the Hudson County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice.

A resident of Sussex County, Matthew appears in both Superior and Workers’ Compensation Courts across all of New Jersey. Prior to joining Lerner Piermont & Riverol, Matthew was both a law clerk and an associate for a national defense firm with experience in a wide range of general liability practice areas. Since joining our office, he has successfully obtained favorable outcomes for his clients in the Division of Workers’ Compensation, where he appears regularly, and in the Superior Court, both through trial verdicts and settlements.
